We had a jam packed short holiday week here in third grade! Tuesday we had our Levels meeting, followed by some extra outside time (trying to fit that in before the weather gets colder and the evenings get darker!). Wednesday we began a leaf chromatography experiment, where students guessed which colors would come out of the fall leaves we collected from the backyard. By ripping up the leaves and placing them in rubbing alcohol, the color was extracted over night and soaked up towards the top of a coffee filter. We, of course, made a few hypothesis before beginning the experiment to see who thought which colors would show up! We ended Wednesday with some gym time and then our usual Thursday/Friday clubs.
Have a great weekend!
